Hear bx_rockrack´s new Jazz amps in action:
We recorded the Axel Fischbacher Trio live, and Axel played straight into the new Jazz Amps of bx_rockrack (a FREE upgrade in V1.1) via a DI box and no additional outboard equipment.
The drums were recorded with only 4 mics (Bass Drum, Snare & 2 M/S overheads).

Please note: GAIN settings in bx_rockrack V1.1
Brainworx accidentally changed the gain knob behaviour of the rock amps in V1.0.3.
Now they corrected this in V1.1. As a result you might get different gain settings when you open older presets or sessions stored with V1.0.3. We apologize if this causes some extra work (to change the gain settings). Only the gain needs to be adjusted, everything else stays as it always was. Sorry for that.

Hello everybody, this is Dirk.
It´s been exactly 6 months now since the Plugin Alliance website was launched.
Time for a few personal words if you don´t mind.
First of all THANK YOU on behalf of everybody at PA and the Alliance member companies for your immediate and continuous support. You have opened many thousands(!) new Alliance accounts and activated tens of thousands new trials and licenses, which makes us very proud and happy. With the release of the new Licenser (the new optional USB Stick Activation) last week we have accomplished our goal to implement this important feature before the end of Q2. Now you can easily move between studios, live-consoles, edit rooms etc. And keep ALL your licenses and your plugin installers on ONE single, standard USB Stick (read more).
Like most companies we take it a bit easier in the summer time as well, even the hard-working BX and PA team needs a break once in while. So while our whole crew is taking a few days off one after another we will not release new plugins or new features, but since many of you contacted us and asked about it we decided to keep the actual promotions running for another 2 weeks. Brainworx are announcing their new ROCK´N´ROLL LINE of plugins.
The first product to be presented in this video sneak preview shows the soon-to-be-released bx_rockrack Guitar Amp plugin, and reveals the totally new approach Brainworx has taken to model not only a guitar amplifier and a speaker, but to "digitally capture" the whole recording chain of the NEVE VXS 72 equipped Brainworx Studio in Germany.
Unlike most other digital guitar plugins bx_rockrack does not offer models of "57 amps, 68 cabinets and 273 microphones", but 3 GREAT SOUNDING AMPS (clean, crunch, lead - modeled with the typical BX quality, of course), and for the first time ever the complete recording chains of some of the best real-world studios out there (read below)!
Each recording chain contains the guitar power amp, the speaker cabinet, the microphone(s), mic preamp and console EQ, plus even the post-production effects needed to produce walls-of-sound ready to be released on any major label production. If you ask professionals about the best choice for an easy fix for the most common vocal problem you will most likely hear about the SPL De-Esser. We're releasing Analog Code plugin emulations of BOTH versions, the Classic 9629 and the new RackPack Dual-Band De-Esser this month. We even added M/S modes for mastering purposes.

The NOVELTECH Character plugin was available exclusively for the discontinued TC POWERCORE platform so far. A new cooperation between the Plugin Alliance and Noveltech (from Finland) will now make this innovative plugin available for all native formats and TDM / VENUE systems. Right now the plugin is undergoing some small adjustments and a facelift for a great new look (see the picture above, showing the work in progress). Please stay tuned.
The Character plugin uses Noveltech's IAF (Intelligent Adaptive Filtering) technology, which affects both the frequency response and dynamic properties of the input material in a highly time varying sense. Offering results you simply cannot achieve with traditional EQ or compression.

3 licenses forever. Introducing Activation & Deactivation!
From now on you can deactivate any machine in your myPLUGINS account. Even if your computer has died and is not available anymore. This way you can NEVER lose any of your 3 licenses, because all plugins that used to be running on a deactivated machine will be available for a new computer again as soon as you deactivate the old computer in your myPLUGINS account. Always allowing you to use your plugins on 3 machines at the same time. Just click on the red DEACTIVATE button (view_machines), please check the screenshot below.
AAX Native and 64-bit support!
We fixed several issues for the new AAX Native format. All our plugins run seamless in ProTools 10. 64-bit is now being supported by all plugins for MAC and PC.
VENUE Activation!
Go on tour! Take your Alliance plugins with you. There were some issues with VENUE activation, but now the show can go on.
