The Netherlands-based, Joost van den Broek has produced, arranged, and mixed albums for over 10 years with great international success. Working for clients like Epica, Ayreon, Powerwolf and Blind Guardian, he has build up an impressive portfolio, received multiple gold and platinum awards and gained a reputation in the metal scene by consistently delivering the highest standard in modern, epic productions.

Joost mostly does FULL PRODUCTIONS being involved from the first demos until mastering, creating a unique concept and approach for each client. He manages the entire production process to keep a clear overview, planning and create a great work environment to get the best out of everyone.

Sandlane Recording Facilities is Joost’s headquarters, established in 2009 in Rijen, The Netherlands. A state-of-the-art recording studio with a big live room characterised by stunning acoustics, a Neve mixing console, a phenomenal collection of microphones, amps, instruments, and a wide range of high-end outboard equipment.

  The Lindell Audio 69 rocks! Adding instant attitude and pumping character to your sound! You are able to add great warmth, depth and harmonic richness with the 'bus' version, by either applying the plugin to a separate track or a summing bus. The sound doesn't lose any of its original quality and doesn't start to become muddy.

  The compressor gives you the possibility to make your source super crushing, especially on my drum bus and/or drum rooms. The Lindell Audio 69 will definitely take charge from now on!

  The cool thing about this plugin is that it goes further than the traditional hardware can do, especially the parallel mix and SMASH functions are great, this makes it much wider deployable and even enhances your creativity.

  I love the options it gives you to do multiband compression and/or EQ in so many different ranges, still keeping the benefits of an analog device overview. If it is to just clean up your sides, widen your mix, do some small tweaks and boosts or dive in deep and totally sculpt your signal...this is all you need!

  I'm a big fan of using multiband compression on both instruments and busses, but I could have never imagined I could do it with my 'to go to' buss compressor. This will be a new favourite plugin for me and many other mixing engineers!
