Alejandro Patiño (aka Mosty) is a music producer, composer, and engineer from Medellín, Colombia.
His fascination with recorded music began at around age twelve, and he became immersed in research of how records were made. By age fourteen, he was a singer in a band that garnered attention towards him as a young vocalist and producer. By age twenty-eight, he had amassed four Latin Grammy awards.
He has produced and engineered records for an array of globally renowned artists including J. Balvin, Juanes, Nicky Jam, Farruko, Arcangel, De La Ghetto, Zion & Lennox, Jesse & Joy, Piso 21, and many more. His work can be heard on numerous chart-topping hits, such as J. Balvin’s '6am', 'Ay Vamos' and 'Ginza', Zion & Lennox' 'Otra Vez', Juanes’ 'Fuego', 'X' by Nicky Jam and J. Balvin, and 'Déjala Que Vuelva' by Piso 21.
A lot of Mosty's work has been done in collaboration with the producer Sky, with whom he developed many notable projects under the company 'Infinity Music'. This production team has played a significant part in crafting the sound of Colombian reggaeton.
