Black Magic!
★★★★★This plugin... wow!!! If your instrument/sound/bus/mix/whatever is just missing something, put on the HG-2 and it comes to life! Have used this in both mixing and mastering and would use it on every channel if I had the cpu power to do it! The most memorable wow moment so far was when finalizing a master for a client, I thought it was done and ready to print and convert to all the different mediums...but I had just downloaded the trial of the HG-2 so I thought "why not" and put it on as the final plugin right before the brickwall... and the mids just popped! It added that extra depth and really brought the song to a whole new level! Safe to say, I immediately bought it right after. Great gob PA! -
Make thin sound transparent and phat
★★★★☆If taking a banjo sound you only need to deal in the right amount of pentode triode to get a really full and rich sound in flat mode.
Saturation and air taking the sound to new highs but need to take care because very effective a 9 o'clock position adds already that punch. A really important parameter is density - mix in negative 60% to get that "dark" feel. I miss only in this plugin some M/S functionality known from plugin like bx_saturator and an infinite link potentiometer to the pentode and triode for faster mixing results. -

★★★★★This plugin is pretty amazing. Whether you are using it on full mixes, bass, drum buses, guitars, vocals...It just adds something really pleasing to the sound, either the low or high end. Really glad that I picked it up. -

Black Box
★★★★★This thing is really the Black Box it was announced to be... incredible sound enhancement at a glance. I can't even say "Black Box", because it is actually very well documented what it does, but to hear how it improves the sound is almost unbelievable. It can drastically change the sound, but in my setup, I am happy to have this one on my drum and/or master bus, it adds so much more live than any other plugin I used before. Of course, don't overdo it, but a notebale enhancement on the drum bus in addition to a subtle enhancement on the master bus is absolutely possible. It makes the sounds living and fat like never before... Thanks for this Plugin! -

★★★★★HG-2 has found a place in my mastering chain and I expect it will stay there for some time. I like how it adds clarity, depth, punch, nice airy saturation and cohesion to my mixes. It's not magic on its own but together with other quality plugins it helps me get great results that would be difficult to achieve without it. It's helped to make my music sound a lot better. I use it for mixing too and find it's great on drum busses for the definition and punch it provides. Another quality tool that makes producing more enjoyable for the flavours it provides. Highly recommended. -
