    The Neold U17 compressor is smooth smooth smooth! Unlike many other compressors plugins that are finicky and take a while to dial in, this one was intuitive and quick which makes workflow so much less frustrating and time consuming. And it just works on so many sources, from vocals to guitars, keys and drums in parallel. The frequency and shape controls just take this comp over the top.

    It is gentle and smooth but don't be fooled by it. It has some serious vibe and beautiful color under the hood. The Soft Clipping section (Density & Emphasis), the Torque Control (Knee & Ratio), and the Sidechain filter (Shape & Frequency) are powerful and so fun to use. It could be a “life-saver” for those bland and boring tracks. The compression from NEOLD U17 is so addictive. A great tool to have and it’s highly recommended.

    The NEOLD U17 compressor is unlike any other compressor in my vast vast arsenal of plugins. Its sound ranges from rather subtle and clean compression to coloration and tonality that's not easily described in "typical" terms. Having demoed it on a number of different sources, it was adding it to an acoustic guitar track that really stands out. It pushed that guitar forward in the mix while taming the transients and adding a coloration that was nothing short of brilliant.

    As someone that adores and uses outboard hardware regularly from vintage pieces to modern ones - I’m completely blown away by the nuance, character, depth, and warmth of NEOLD U17. This is a remarkable plug-in capable of subtle compression transformations, all the way through to parallel, in-your-face super punch attitude. What impresses the most, is it's a plugin. It behaves remarkably like outboard gear and is highly responsive to input signal and characteristics. A total winner. Will be using this non-stop. Way to go Plugin Alliance!

    Just finished using it on a mix. It certainly brought a classically warm complex saturated sound to drums and bass. Then I tried it on brass and vocals and it had a similar effect. You can warm things up or make them grind and bark and punch. Looks and sounds great and actually makes me interested in their other products. 
    I'm on an analog tip at the moment and this is going to get some real use.

    Great sounding compressor, really unique. I used it earlier to sit a bass perfectly in a dense mix. Transparent punch and a little bit of bite if you need it.
