Stereo image enhancement is an important tool for winning the loudness wars and bringing depth and immediacy to tracks. But phase issues have always limited the pros and put off the less experienced. SPL BiG solves these issues and lets you do even more. It processes stereo input with a unique filtering network that prevents phase shifts, cancellations, and unwanted artifacts when summing to mono. Now everyone can benefit from the bigness.

Bring the “Bigness”. This unique blend knob mixes processed and original audio with SPL's proprietary combining method, delivering dynamic control over stereo expansion and balance.

Simple on the surface but sophisticated at the core

SPL BiG utilizes a unique stereo processing technique that’s distinct from M/S processing. This is how it enhances your stereo image without introducing phase issues or cancellation to individual tracks, stems and mixes, even when summed to mono.  

AirBass EQ plus plugin-exclusive features 

SPL BiG also features a bass boost function, using a passive filter inspired by the AirBass circuit in the SPL IRON Mastering Compressor, to enhance your tracks with low-end warmth. The SPL BiG offers plugin-exclusive features including panorama controls, automatic gain compensation, M/S metering, and Mid/Side solo functionality.
